Ever since she can remember, Dr.Grace Chun's childhood dream was to be a dentist. Dr. Chun attended Banting Secondary right here in Coquitlam. To pursue her dream to be a dentist, she did her undergraduate studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC and earned her B.Sc.(Pharm) degree in 1994. The experience she gained from having practised as a pharmacist during the summer breaks while attending dental school is invaluable in treating her patients as a dentist. After graduating from the University of Western Ontario with her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 1998, she gained vast experience working in BC's rural communities of Squamish and Lillooet. She returned to the Coquitlam area and set up her practice in May 2000. SInce then, she is constantly refreshing her knowledge and skills by attending numerous study clubs and courses.
Dr. Grace's passion for dentistry arises from her love of the arts. Her artistic nature is reflected in her oil paintings and landscape photography displayed in the office and as well as in her classical piano training to the level of ARCT Performer's with the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. She loves to keep fit and healthy with spinning, dance and step aerobics, cross-country skiing and hiking in the Canadian Rockies. Her love of nature has inspired her to explore most of the trails in Banff National Park and Kananaskis. Besides dentistry, Dr. Grace has taken courses in photography and biblical studies.
"I feel so blessed to be able to live my dream in practicing dentistry as my profession. Dentistry to me is an art form and I get so much joy seeing my art come to life with smiles on my patients' faces. My motto in life is "Do to others as you would have them do to you" and I strive to treat my patients in that way, doing what I believe is only necessary and best for the welfare of my patients."
Dr. Grace Chun B.Sc.(Pharm), D.D.S.
